Man arrested for allegedly defiling his 9-year-old daughter in Anambra (READ DETAILS)

 A 40- time-old man has been arrested for allegedly defiling his 9- year-old son in Akama vill, Igbo- ukwu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State. 

The suspect, Kenneth Nwangwu, was restrained by the Police following a caution by a whoosh- cracker . 

The suspect, in police guardianship at State Criminal and Investigation Department( CID), Awka, still denied the allegations, averring it was the work of his adversaries. 

" It's my adversaries at work because they're invidious of me. I only feed my son and nothing further, ” he said. 

Meanwhile, a medical examination carried out on the victim revealed there was defilement. 

During disquisition into his life, it was discovered that the suspect has nothing palpable doing for a living and had been the only one raising the minor since his partner woman left them numerous times agone . 

Replying to the news, the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Hon Ify Obinabo, pledged her preparedness to see the case through and get justice for the minor. 

She reprobated the high rate of defilement cases in the state, encouraging everyone to, “ always say commodity when you see commodity." 

Obinabo assured that cases formerly transferred to the State High Court would admit speedy justice delivery as the Children, Sexual and Gender- Grounded Violence High Court would soon commence sitting.
